The ReelHeART Spirit Award goes to the filmmaker, documentary or documentary subject who most demonstrates the “Indie Spirit”, through pride of film production, promotion of film, audience engagement and producing a memorable contribution on film. This year would could only give this award to 1 person who embodies this spirit in its entirety, the D.I.Y. opera singer John Innes, the subject of “The People’s Tenor”, co-directed by Mark Ubsdell and Roger Grant.
